Academic Team – Shelby Smith

Altus Junior High Academic team is a group of students who share the joy of learning through academic competition about general knowledge trivia in science, math, social studies, sports, literature, movies and the arts. AJH has an 8th grade team and a 7th grade team. At each time, the team consists of 4 members and substitutes. Practices are held at 7:30 am Monday and Wednesday for 8th graders and Tuesday and Thursday for 7th graders.

8th Grade - Returning State Champions in 2018
OKC Blue Champions in 2018

In the past seven years, we've had three teams win the state championship and three teams place in the top three at state competitions.
