FFA – J.C. Stafford

This course is designed to introduce students to the world of agriculture and how it affects their daily lives. Students will have the opportunity to participate in competitions such as archery, sporting clays, public speaking and other leadership activities. This course is also an introduction to the opportunities available in the National FFA Organization. FFA members embrace concepts taught in agricultural science classrooms nationwide, build valuable skills through hands-on experiential learning and demonstrate their proficiency in competitions based on real-world agricultural skills. Agriculture Exploration coursework reinforces skills learned in core classes such as science and language arts while providing a dynamic youth organization that changes lives and prepares members for successful careers.

Mission: "FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education."

Motto: "Learning to Do, Doing to Learn, Earning to Live, Living to Serve."
