ALTUS, Okla. Altus Public Schools is proud to announce that Altus Junior High School has been selected as a recipient of the Oklahoma Educational Technology Trust (OETT) Grant for the 2026-2027 school year.
Through this competitive grant, Altus Junior High will receive $40,000 in classroom technology and $25,000 in professional development for staff. The funding will provide students and teachers with innovative learning opportunities designed to prepare students for future careers through hands-on, real-world experiences.
The grant will support the addition of several exciting learning resources, including:
· A Makerspace featuring a Glowforge laser cutter and Cricut cutting machine
· A student audio and video production studio
· Updated coding curriculum
· New robotics kits for STEM learning
These resources will expand opportunities for students to explore engineering, design, manufacturing, digital media production, coding, and problem-solving while developing the skills employers value in today’s workforce.
In addition to new classroom technology, the grant includes extensive professional development for Altus Junior High teachers. Staff members will receive specialized training to ensure the new technology is fully integrated into classroom instruction and provides meaningful learning experiences for students.

The Oklahoma Educational Technology Trust Grant supports schools in implementing innovative technology initiatives that enhance student achievement and prepare learners for success beyond the classroom.
