Altus Junior High Families,
This morning, a medical emergency occurred near Altus Junior High School. We want to make families aware that no Altus Junior High students, faculty, staff, or administrators were involved in the emergency.
As part of the emergency response, a medical helicopter landed in the Altus Junior High parking lot to assist with the situation. The presence of the helicopter and emergency personnel may have caused concern for students, families, or community members arriving at school this morning.
The safety of our students and staff is always a top priority at Altus Public Schools. We appreciate the quick response of the emergency personnel who provided assistance this morning.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the individual involved and their loved ones, as well as the emergency responders who provided care and assistance.
