
Our 8th grade Science classes have been having fun while learning force and motion as well as finding the speed of their airplanes using time and distance!





AJH's Winter Assembly will held at 2pm in the gym on January 22nd.


The 7th grade Academic Team are District Champions with 3 wins last night. They will compete at regionals on February 8th. We are so proud of them!

The 8th grade academic team won their district tournament tonight at AJH. They are looking forward to regionals on February 15th. Thank you to all of the parents and AHS students who came to cheer them on.

Mr. Avila reports that Friday the 13th, the Altus Jr. High archery team competed in the Ninnekah 2nd Annual HOOTENanny archery competition. Altus Jr. High had two teams in the middle division. Team #1 placed 1st with an overall score of 3358. Team #2 placed 2nd with a score of 3100. Top 4 boy shooters this week were: Aiden Hall, Abraham Davidson, Isaiah Saavedra, and Remington McBride. The Top 4 girl shooters were: Kylie Fixico, Falyn Shive, Emma Kelm, and Baylee Woods. Once again, the archery team would like to send a big THANK YOU out to the Administrators for allowing us to participate in these competitions. GO BIG BLUE!!! 🐾🐾🐾

Altus Jr. High archery team kicked off their season opener at the 8th annual El Reno archery tournament on Friday. The team placed 1st in the middle division w/a score of 3348. This score would be good enough to put the Altus Jr. High team at #1 in the State, and #1 in the National rankings for the week!!! LET'S GO BULLDOGS!!!

This Saturday, 7 December, the 97 AMW Aviation Inspiration Mentorship (AIM) Wing Program is hosting an Aviation Fair at Altus Junior High School located at 1601 S. Park Lane from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The event is free and open to the public and will provide entertainment for the whole family – STEM activities, interactive demonstrations, and AAFB Airmen there to answer questions with photo opportunities.
